Election Center 2008

Town | County | State | National | Hospital | Schools

General Election Nov. 4
Teton County voters go to the polls Nov. 4 to select new local, state and national representatives. At this Election Center, readers can access campaign articles published in the Jackson Hole News&Guide since the primary election in August.

Voters may cast ballots, according to where they live, in the race for Jackson Town Council and mayor, Teton County Commission, Teton County Board of Education, St. John's Medical Center board, Wyoming representatives and our national delegation.

Two uncontested candidates will run for conservation district posts. In addition, voters will be able to retain, or fire, Supreme Court Justice William U. Hill, and 9th Judicial District Circuit Court Judges Tim Day, Robert Denhardt and Curt Haws.

Voters also may mark their ballots for or against two constitutional amendments. One would clarify and modernize the oath of office. The second would change the requirements for a statewide initiative or referendum.

Stories are arranged according to the political districts below.
